Guacalina and Guacalina Toast

We’re all loving avocados these days – for the delicious, satisfying flavor and all their associated health benefits. If you want to take your Avocado Toast to a whole new place, give this Guacalina and Guacalina Toast a try.


3 avocados

1 lime

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup diced onion

3 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

2 roma (plum) tomatoes, diced

1 teaspoon minced garlic

2 heaping tablespoons Greenspring Farms Fresh Spirulina

1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)


  • Pit and peel the avocados and put them in a mixing bowl or bowl of a food processor.

  • Squeeze in the lime juice, add salt and Spirulina, and mash or process.

  • Mix in onion, cilantro, tomatoes, and garlic.

  • Stir in cayenne pepper.

  • Refrigerate 1 hour for best flavor, or serve immediately.

For Guacalina Toast, spread on your favorite toasted whole grain bread and top with flaky salt to taste.
